Tehran, Moscow exchange at least 50 students annually

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – Head of Iranian Training Department of Fiqh al-Lughah of State University of Moscow Vladimir Ivanov said that Tehran and Moscow exchange at least 50 university students in the official and local languages of the two countries per year, the rate which is increasing.

Russia is home to 20 Persian language training centers, each of which admits 10 students annually on average, he maintained.

He, who is Russian Orientalist, added, “after training in Russia, Persian-language learners, who are taught by Iranian and Russian professors, attend the training courses in Iran’s top academic centers including University of Tehran and Allameh Tabatabaei University.

After attending the Persian language training courses both in Russia and Iran, these students study Literature, Economy, History and especially Politics, he said, adding, “moreover, students will be familiarized with Iranian literary figures and luminaries such as Hafez and Saadi.”

In conclusion, Ivanov said, “Russian students should be acquainted with the culture and civilization of Iran, because, Iran is considered as one of the great civilizations in the world.”
